Rangaraj is raising funds for AVASAR NGO that works for bettering lives of Girl child by providing scholarship for their education
Of the "out-of-school children", one survey reported that about 62% were girls; they make up two-thirds of all illiterate 15 to 24-year-olds. The reality for many girls in India is harsh, with young women having little control over their lives. Almost 50 percent are married before age 18, just 30 percent graduate from 10th grade, and less than 40 percent work for pay.
This is the target group for Avasar to extend support for education up to employment. Ability is nothing without Opportunity.
The Project extends financial support to arrest discontinuation of education due to financial hardship. By taking away the pressure off from the family, a meritorious student will be able to complete her education for potential employment.
The program also supports sustenance allowance in addition to payment of tuition fee and address all aspects of needs as a college student.
This project is about educating and developing 12 girls complete their entire education starting from Grade 11 until they complete their Graduation.
Upon completion of their education they have a better chance of getting employed, choosing better partner, understanding their rights and ultimately leading to better lives.
