Enable students to take charge of their careers and life outcomes
Akash was a typical disengaged and disinterested humanities student of class XII with no clear idea about what he wishes to do in his life. He lives in Sangam Vihar, one of the largest unauthorised colonies in Asia, and his father works as a transport vehicle driver to support his family.
This is a story of many a Akash in government schools.
During Alohomora's sessions in his school, he opened up about his interest in sports and physical fitness. He started exploring various fitness related opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of various career options. Running his first half marathon successfully while in XII boosted his confidence and after XII, he joined a course to get trained as a Fitness Trainer. He has completed the course successfully a few weeks back and got a job in a profession that is close to his heart and is well-aligned with his strengths!
Alohomora works with students like Akash who come from not so well-to-do families and are struggling to figure out what they wish to do in their life after class XII.
Your contribution will help students like Akash to identify and pursue interest aligned careers and improved life outcomes.
